Why We Believe
The average full-time employee in the United States spends 8.81 hours working every day, much more than the amount we spend on personal care, friends and family, and sleep. As a result, many of us expect our professional experiences to bring us purpose, structure, learning, achievement, joy and fulfillment. For the lucky ones that have scored their “dream job,” that may be the case—but what about the rest of us?
During his time as Google’s first Senior Vice President of People Operations, Laszlo Bock completely transformed the company’s culture, relying on a combination of organizational behavioral theory and data-driven approach. With the goal of bringing greater satisfaction to the rest of the working world, Bock founded Humu together with other Google alums Wayne Crosby and Jessie Wisdom. The behavioral change software company helps people increase productivity and happiness through proprietary technology rooted in science and machine learning. Like Humu, we believe that work can, and should, be better for everyone, and we couldn’t be more excited to be investing and partnering with their breakout wellness company to bring this vision to reality in the years to come.
