Bryan Hsu joined Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) in August of 2014. He focuses on identifying and evaluating later-stage investments across the technology industry, including enterprise software, Internet and digital media, and mobile.
Bryan actively works with IVP portfolio companies AlienVault, Business Insider, Carbonite (CARB), Indiegogo, Inspirato, MobileIron (MOBL), Personal Capital, Pure Storage, Spiceworks, Sumo Logic, Tanium, Voxer, and ZEFR.
Prior to joining IVP, Bryan worked at Qatalyst Partners, a technology-focused boutique investment bank located in San Francisco. His transaction experience includes BMC Software’s sale to an Investor Group, LSI’s sale to Avago, Tumblr’s sale to Yahoo!, Mandiant’s sale to FireEye, and RelateIQ’s sale to Salesforce.com.
Bryan is originally from Dallas, Texas and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania where he received a B.S. in Finance from The Wharton School and a B.S. in Systems Science Engineering from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
